With Twin Butte Country General Store as your home base, you’ll have easy access to an amazing array of natural and cultural attractions. From here, you’re just a short drive away from a day of golf, fabulous mountain fishing or rich historic Native American culture, to name just a few.  Take a few minutes to explore a small sample of what is awaiting you.

Waterton Lakes National Park
This international peace park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  But despite its international acclaim, it remains is an unspoiled gem tucked away in the southern corner of Alberta along the Canada-U.S.A. border.  There is so much to do and discover in this beautiful setting.  Here are just a few things to experience in Waterton:

Great Canadian Barn Dance                             
Kick up your heels while you step back in time to the days when weekend nights were barn dance nights - a time to gather with friends, hear some lively music and dance the night away. Relive those times at the Great Canadian Barn Dance.


Going to the Sun Road
This road was opened in 1932, offering breathtaking views for those traveling between Canada and the U.S.  In 1983 it was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1985.  In 1997 it became a U.S.National Historic Landmark.


Remington Carriage Museum
Recognized as “The Best Indoor Attraction in Canada”, the Remington Carriage Museum houses one of the largest collections of horse-drawn vehicles in North America. This enormous museum offers visitors a chance to step back in time and explore the wonder of more than 250 carriages, wagons and sleighs.


Crowsnest Pass
Travel about 70 km and you’ll discover an amazing outdoor playground.  From golf to world-class fly fishing, snowmobiling to mountain festivals, the Crowsnest Pass is one of Canada’s best kept secrets.  The rich history of this area - immortalized by its unique museums and cultural centres - is also worth taking in.

Traveling to or from the U.S.?  The Chief Mountain Border crossing might be your most convenient port of entry.  As a bonus, the scenery is out of this world.
